The driver of a car that flipped onto its roof in wet weather on the A1(M) has escaped serious injury, Herts police have confirmed.
Yesterday (Sunday), a spokesperson for the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "The driver of this car was lucky to not be seriously injured after his car flipped onto its roof in wet weather.
"We urge all drivers to be safe and drive to the prevailing conditions, otherwise the results can be devastating."
The road policing unit took the opportunity to promote the Fatal 5 road safety campaign, which seeks to reduce careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, excessive speed and distracted driving, including mobile phone use.
