Police have made a plea for more information about a murder in Stevenage, almost one month on from the shocking incident.
Officers were called just after 11.50pm on Wednesday, June 19, following reports of a serious assault in Walden End.
The East of England Ambulance Service attended, and the victim, Peter Lynch, was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds and sadly died a short time later.
A 34-year-old woman, who was known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been released on police bail.
An investigation was launched by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit who have been carrying out extensive enquiries.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin, who is investigating, said: "It is nearly a month on since Peter sadly died. We have conducted a number of lines of enquiry including reviewing CCTV footage and house-to-house enquiries.
"I’d like to thank local residents and members of the public who have assisted us with our investigation so far.
"Officers will be in the Walden End area this evening (July 17) from around 9pm should residents like to speak with them regarding the incident.
"I would encourage anyone who is yet to speak to police and may have information that could help with our enquiries, to please make contact with our officers.
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the Walden End or Six Hills area between 10.30pm and 11.45pm on Wednesday, June 19 and may have witnessed or heard something that could help us progress this investigation.
"Additionally, if you were driving in the area during the times mentioned and have a dash cam fitted or if your property has a doorbell camera fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something vital that could help with our enquiries.
"Please do get in contact no matter how small or insignificant the details may seem."
