A highly-anticipated street food restaurant is finally set to open in Hitchin next month.
The Shack, which will be serving up burgers, chicken wings and tenders, grilled sandwiches and Sunday roasts, has been renovating 32 Sun Street since earlier this year.
In January, signs appeared in the window of the former Deroka unit, teasing the opening of the restaurant.
Almost eight months later, The Shack's official Instagram account has revealed that the business will be welcoming hungry punters for the first time in August, although an official date has yet to be confirmed.
"August motives just got real — We’ll be smashin’ from 32 Sun Street. Coming this August," read the caption, which was accompanied by a video of Sun Street and inside the unit.
The opening has been much-anticipated among foodies in Hitchin, but back in May, The Shack revealed in another Instagram post that the opening had been delayed by a "whole load of setbacks".
"After months of planning and facing a whole load of setbacks, things are finally moving forward," the post read.
The Shack already has two restaurants in Biggleswade and Barton, and they are looking forward to opening their third site.
