Nobel School:

Many students from the Nobel School who were anxiously awaiting their results have had a successful day determining their future.

Martyn Henson, Headteacher, said: "We are delighted to announce the exceptional achievements made by our students this year. They have shown resilience, determination and a commitment to their academic studies. These results are a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our staff.

"Working with young people is privilege, and today we get to see our young people go off to some amazing destinations. Many are off to various universities across the country, including Oxford, University College London, and Manchester. Others have secured apprenticeships with employers such as Deloitte Touche and MBDA."

(Image: Nobel School) Head girl, Daisy Fennelow got three A*s, and is off to the University of Warwick to study Psychology; Andronikos Chalatazioukas and Nyasha Gurajena, both secured three A*s, and are heading to the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.

Sachi Shah obtained two A*s and an A, granting her admission into Oxford to study Law and Julia Kubowicz with three As, is off to Imperial College to study Medicine.

Thomas Alleyne Academy 

The Thomas Alleyne Academy were celebrating the results of their students' hard work yesterday with some excellent results.

Headteacher, Mark Lewis, said: "Our students have lots to celebrate following the great results they have received this morning. They have done so well, and we wish them all the best as they begin the next steps towards their future destinations."

Barclay Academy

For Barclay Academy's students the wait is over. They had a fantastic set of excellent A-level results this summer.

Marriotts School

Celebration was in the air at Marriotts School yesterday as Sixth form students received their A level and vocational results.

Headteacher, Bethany Honnor said: "We are proud of our Sixth form students for their hard work and commitment throughout their time at Marriotts. Their success is well deserved, and we want to congratulate them all for achieving their potential.

"We are incredibly grateful to our teaching and staff teams who have worked so hard to help our students get to where they are today, and we wish every student the best of luck in their future endeavours."

Hitchin

Hitchin Boys' School

The school boasted another successful Year 13 cohort in 2024, with 94% of students gaining a place at either their first or insurance choice university.

Hitchin Girls' School headteacher praised the students results!

The Priory School

Year 13 students at The Priory School are celebrating today after achieving some excellent results. 

Head of sixth form Mrs Hadaway said: “These results are a testament to the character of our year 13 cohort - their determination and efforts have been rewarded with a set of results that will open many doors for them in the future.

“As always, we are excited to see students embarking on their next challenges. We have 71 students heading off to their first choice of university, and a number of students taking up exciting apprenticeship opportunities with the police and local businesses.”

Letchworth & Baldock

St Francis' College

Students at Letchworth's St Francis’ College celebrated their A-level results yesterday - with over quarter of all grades at A*.

The Year 13 leavers celebrated with over 25 per cent of all grades achieving A* and 53 per cent achieving A*-A.

Those were:

• Jaskeerat - Four A*s, is going on to study politics & economics at the London School of Economics.
• Tiffany - two A*s and two As, is going to study medicine at Kings College London
• Christa - one A* and two As, is going to study medicine at the University of Nottingham.
• Sophia - two A*s and two As, will be taking up her place at the University of Exeter to study psychology.
• Ilinca - two A*s and one A, plans to study sport & exercise science at Loughborough University
• Ella - two A*s and one A, is heading for the University of Leeds to study English literature
• Hannah - two A*s and one A, will be studying physiotherapy at the University of Southampton

St Christopher School

Sixth Form students at St Christopher School celebrated an excellent set of A level results with 94% gaining a place at their first choice of university.

Overall, 19% of grades were A* with 33% of grades at A*-A, 55% A* - B and 78% A*-C.

“There have been some incredible individual results with 18% of students achieving three A’s or better. We are also delighted with the large number of distinctions and merits in the BTEC Food and Nutrition qualification and the Advanced Extension Award in maths."

Highfield

The Highfield School in Letchworth Garden City celebrates a great set of results for Year 13 students!

Their A-Level and Level 3 qualifications, with the top grades of A*/A being at the highest level for many years.

"We have been excited to hear about their next steps today with many securing places at university, including Cambridge, Oxford, many Russel Group and medicine. In addition, pupils have secured exciting apprenticeships including Air Bus, Macintyre Hudson Associates and Leonardo UK."

Fearhnill School

Students at Fearnhill celebrated yesterday as the hard work of the last few years was reflected in a great set of exam results. Impressively, every student who applied to university gained their preferred place

Another named Daniel will study physiotherapy at The University of Nottingham.

Other destinations for Fearnhill students include Loughborough University, The University of York and The University of Leeds.

Head of Sixth Form, Tom Marlow, added: "Our Year 13 cohort has shown character and determination to achieve some remarkable outcomes. Whatever they go on to next – be that university, apprenticeships, or working in industry - we are incredibly proud of them."

Knights Templar School

The Knights Templar School in Baldock had a fantastic results day with 25% of grades between a A*- A.

Many students are going on to their first-choice university or starting  apprenticeships. Students attending the Knights Templar's partner performing arts school in Hitchin, Emil Dale Academy, are also celebrating with destinations including some of the top musical theatre schools in the country.

“We have so many students progressing to their first choice of university, including large numbers to the Russell group and others to the world of work and degree level apprenticeships."

Samuel Whitbread Academy - Bedfordshire

The students long awaited A-Level and BTEC results are said to be "among best ever" at Samuel Whitbread Academy!

This years results were above the grades for 2023, and represent a suitable reward for all the students’ hard work and dedication over the last two years.

As well as achieving some of our best ever exam results, they have also been great role models for the younger students by taking part in numerous school productions and performing at a national level in several different sports, including football, rugby and netball.

“There has been lots to celebrate this year with students off to various different parts of the country and studying a whole host of different courses, including the head girl, Madeline Doughty, who has secured a prestigious research and development degree apprenticeship with GlaxoSmithKline.

“I am very proud of all of their achievements and I am particularly proud of how they supported a fellow student, in his time of need, with all their fundraising activities, which truly demonstrated the school’s values of empathy and teamwork.”
