A whopping 88 of Stevenage's takeaways received perfect scores in their food hygiene inspections.

This means that 61 per cent of the town's 143 takeaways have received the top seal of approval from the Food Standards Agency.

At the other end of the scale, five outlets received a 1/5 rating - although none have suffered the ignominy of being rated 0/5.
