This year's Stevenage Charter Fair will be held on September 23 and 24.

The popular annual fair will see the High Street crammed with rides and stalls, including dodgems and waltzers, as well as smaller rides for young children, and family favourites such as hook a duck.

Kiosks will also be selling burgers, hot dogs, sweets and candy floss.

The fair has been held in Stevenage since King Edward I granted the town Royal Charter in 1281, giving the right to hold a weekly market and yearly fair for all time.

The fair will be open from 3pm until late on both days.

Lane closures will be in operation from 6am to 10am on September 22, and road closures will be in place from 2pm to 2am on September 23 and 24.
