A paedophile from Letchworth has been sentenced to four years imprisonment after being found guilty of two sex offences involving a child.
Gavin Elley, 37, appeared at Hendon Magistrates court earlier today (September 4) and was placed on the Sex Offenders' Register as well as given a sexual harm prevention order indefinitely.
Elley was convicted of two sexual offences involving a child during a a four-day trial in June (2024) having been arrested in 2022 while waiting to meet up with a 13-year-old girl in the car park at Cockfosters tube station.
He was found guilty on two counts - engaging in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to arrange/facilitate commission of a child sex offence.
