Staff at a popular Hitchin store were “delighted” with its reopening yesterday after a month-long closure for refurbishment.
Vinegar Hill, on Bancroft reopened at 9am yesterday, Wednesday September 12, to “positive” feedback from its customers.
As part of the renovation, the interior has been stripped out, refitted and newly decorated. The reopening coincided with the launch of its new season ranges and the shop rewarded the first 20 customers with a free £10 gift voucher as they came through the door.
Store manager Lyn said: “We are so excited, we’ve been here on Bancroft since 2013, and the team can’t wait to welcome more customers back to show off our wonderful new look.”
Spokesperson for Vinegar Hill, Beth Austin, said the team was “delighted” with the reopening and was pleased to “treat customers” to a refreshed store.
“We have a lovely strong community in Hitchin - financially we were massively over our target for reopening day!”, she added.
Vinegar Hill is a UK family business, owned by siblings Beth, Debbie and Richard and the recently refurbished Hitchin store opened in 2013.
Soon they plan to open their 15th store in Chichester.
