A new supermarket is 'opening soon' in Stevenage town centre, according to signage outside a vacant unit.
Described as the "UK's first and only", Bargain Grocery Outlet is set to open in Queensway - occupying the corner unit previously used by Cash Converters.
Bargain Grocery Outlet's website says it "is a distinctive discount supermarket, offering unmatched value".
It explains: "We specialise in providing high-quality products that are nearing, or have just passed, their 'best before' dates, ensuring affordability without compromising on quality.
"Our diverse selection includes groceries, confectionery, soft drinks, chilled and frozen items, alcoholic beverages and non-food products.
"Whether you’re looking for everyday essentials or unique finds, we help you save money on top-quality goods, making shopping both economical and sustainable."
The Comet has contacted the owner to ask for a specific opening date.
