A school is Stevenage is set to reopen tomorrow after "electrical and water issues" forced it to close today (October 9).
"Unfortunately, due to electrical issues in the new build, and water issues in the old build, we are going to be closing school today," the email read.
A further update has now confirmed the school will be reopening tomorrow.
"This email is to notify families that Giles Junior School will reopen tomorrow as usual," it read.
"The electricity in the Year 5 and 6 block new building is now remedied and all classrooms have electricity. All sockets have been checked and are not showing any faults.
The toilet leaks in three separate areas in addition to the taps - which were running water at an unsafe temperature - in the communal toilets have been fixed so there is adequate sanitation and hygiene stations for the pupil ratios as recommended by Health and Safety Executive.
"Many thanks for your patience while the site was checked and all safety elements were verified by professionals. We apologise for the inconvenience this will have caused."
