A man has been arrested after police found him hiding in a bush with money and drugs.
The 23-year-old from Stevenage was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs when he was found with three bags of cocaine, £800 in cash and a mobile phone.
On Thursday, October 17, Scorpion Team officers were patrolling woodland at the rear of Wildwood Lane when they spotted two men who "weren't feeling very social" - according to police.
A foot chase ensued across Monkswood Way, where one of the suspects attempted to evade officers by hiding in bush near the industrial estate.
He was swiftly discovered and the cash and drugs were found nearby. A subsequent search of an address led to the discovery of further drugs.
Enquiries continue.
