It was a weekend to forget for Stevenage Hockey Club as only two of their teams managed to secure a victory.
Both of them came against Hertford though with the men's first team getting the best of them.
They won 7-3 away from home to move up to third in the East League Division Two South West.
They went behind early on but finished the half with a big 5-2 lead and while the second half was more of the same, they could turn their dominance into more goals.
Niall Trimble got a hat-trick while Aiden Parker and Mike Oliver managed two each.
The other win came from the women's third team, who had a 5-0 success at home.
A treble from Becs McGrellis went a long way to keeping them on top of the Division Four South West table and with their unbeaten record still intact.
Kelly Switters-Price and Alfie Gunther got the others.
The first though were beaten 3-0 by St Albans with goalkeeper Isabel Marsh the player of the match.
