Stevenage may have inadvertently released their squad numbers ahead of the 2023-2024 League One season prior to their first game.
Boro play away at St Neots Town this afternoon (Saturday) when full details should become clearer but there have been a few potential glimpses.
Interviews conducted with Alex MacDonald and Jake Forster-Caskey saw the two midfielders wearing training kit that bore the numbers seven and eight respectively.
However, more telling perhaps was the new allocated spaces in the car park of their Bragbury End training ground, each one with a plate showing a name and a number.
Should they be taken at face value, and there is no reason to suggest they shouldn't, then these are potentially the numbers the Boro players will be sporting this season.
