Bowls competitions are continuing to provide plenty of focus for clubs.
The ladies of Baldock Town had a 40-26 win at home to Riverain in the North Herts League and the men were victorious too in the County League, beating Whitethorn 51-22 away from home.
There was a win and a loss in the semi-final of the Cairns Cup but that was always going to happen as the club's two teams played each other.
The B team advanced as comfortable winners.
A friendly at Sandy Town ended in a 75-57 defeat although a similar game at Stotfold saw Baldock win 79-62.
Howard Garden played their penultimate men's County League match against Riverain and picked up a 36-35 win.
This was followed by their semi-final clash against St Ippolyts in the Stevenage Mixed League Knockout Cup, one they lost heavily 85-44.
They had one match in the league itself when Knebworth were the visitors.
And it was the away side who nicked the win with important shots on the last end clinching a 48-46 win.
Datchworth's men played their penultimate County League match away to Sele Farm and came back with a 29-29 draw.
Jackson, Richard Harper, Steve Arnold and Parsley recovered from a 12-2 deficit after nine ends to win 16-15, claiming four shots on the final end.
George Campbell, Rob Hazeu, Jim Smith and Henley meanwhile went into the final end trailing 14-11 but two shots gave them the overall draw.
Datchworth were beaten 90-56 in a mixed friendly at home to Hitchin Town, losing the end count 10-8 on each of the four rinks.
Another friendly against Hoddesdon & Rye Park ended in a heavy 121-57 loss, the only one of the five rinks to win that of Alfie Williams, Jan Smith and Derek Henley.
North Herts returned to winning form with a 62-45 home win over Fairfield.
They won on three rinks, drawing one, with the best rink being Jeff Tebbutt, Pete Moss and Simon Tory with a 20-11 success.
The woman’s team of Letchworth Garden City beat the team from Whitethorn 16-10 in the North Division of the Herts County League.
This result puts them into knockout stage with a match to spare.
Although not qualifying for the knockout stage, LGC's men won their final county league match 37-32 against Royston.
