Baldock's latest success was a 54-46 win over Riverain, gaining them five points.
St Ippolyts meanwhile played twice and won twice, the first a 53-49 win at home to Letchworth Garden City, winning on two of the rinks, and there was a similar two-rink success in a 57-55 victory at Aston.
Howard Garden are third, a further nine points behind.
In total, 82 matches have been played so far.

The top one was the 24-8 win for Daniel Williams, Maureen Blunt, Julian Hales and Rob Hazeu.
Back at Baldock, two of their bowlers contested the North Herts ladies singles.
And in a very close finish, Mary Ann Haskins picked up three shots on the last end to beat Wendy Budge 22-20.
The pair were both successful in the triples final as, along with Janet Turner, they enjoyed a comfortable 10-shot success.
A 40-29 win in the County League over Stevenage sent them into the area semi-final but they fell to a 74-57 loss in a friendly against Biggleswade Town.
