It takes a lot to put a smile on the face of Stotfold manager Brett Donnelly - leading 4-0 after 13 minutes and then winning 6-0 is obviously the way to do it.
The Eagles were simply sensational at home to Biggleswade as goals from James Peters, Henry Snee, Callum Kane and Matt Ball and Robbie Buchanan had them five-up by half-time.
Snee then completed the rout seven minutes into the second half and it had the boss almost lost for words, but not quite.
He said: "The team and the squad we've got now seems a lot more settled and we’ve got some men in there which makes a big difference.
"Sadly for Biggleswade, and I like Dave [Northfield, manager], it's one of those days where it’s worked for us and not for them.
"I thought we played really well. We out ran them, we out worked them, we were clinical and we did everything.
"So yeah, I’m very pleased, and it’s hard to please me, but I'm massively, massively pleased and hopefully we can push on and push our way up the table."
The recent recruitment made by the former Hitchin Town striker has been crucial but now Donnelly wants to kick on.
He said: "We needed it after shipping five at Leighton the other week, this was a big performance in terms of confidence.
"We lost 2-1 to Hadley the other week and were really good, nobody will believe it, but we were.
"And then even on Boxing Day against Biggleswade Town, we came away with a point after they got a last-minute equaliser.
"We've got better players. Matt Ball has come in, Ryan Frater has come in and Connor Clarke, it's made a big difference.
"We look like an experienced, well-run ship now and that’s the most pleasing. Everyone knew their job and if they do their job, I haven’t got to shout as much.
"I’ve still got my voice for a change," he added with a chuckle.
Striving for that consistency to shoot them up the table starts on Saturday when they go to Aylesbury United.
Donnelly said: "We knew Biggleswade are a good side and we knew we had to be at it.
"Aylesbury are bottom half but does that mean we take our foot off the gas? No, we don’t. We’ve got to be better.
"I want to be in and around the play-offs. I don't want to be fighting relegation.
"This is a good three points and a great result and a great performance but let’s see if we can be a good side and get a run together, not just winning odd ones."
There was one downside as Snee limped out of the action just past the hour, not long after scoring his 12th in the league.
The hope is it isn't too bad as the boss believes there is even more to come from the youngster.
Donnelly said: "He reckons it’s just a little bit of a twinge in his hamstring but we need to keep him fit, he’s been absolutely brilliant the last few weeks.
"He’s still got a lot to work on in terms of back to goal and he’s so frustrating but he is so awkward to play against.
"He brings balls down, he makes chances, he scores. He’s out top scorer but he’s getting ones and if he wants to go higher, he has to get twos and threes.
"That’s five goals in two games now."
