The Boston Marathon is one of the biggest races in the world - but its namesake in Lincolnshire meant a fair bit to some from Fairlands Valley Spartans.
They had to contend with less than perfect conditions but the flat course did help some to great times.
Stuart Archer blasted through the three-hour barrier, finishing in two hours 58 minutes 42 seconds.
Mike Jeffs also dipped under three hours by 13 seconds while Nick Gill had to settle for a PB of 3:14:19, having cramped up late on.
Alexey Zherdev finished 3:44:54 while Andy Prior clocked 3.55.19.
Georgie Hooper got a PB in the Boston 10k with 44:57.
Martin Jacob followed up his London exploits with a time of 4:20:14 in the Newport Marathon, his second fastest marathon.
The first Norfolk Marathon, finishing in Cromer, saw Carol Paul finish in 4:58:21.
Jim Brown finished the Serpentine Last Friday of the Month 5k in Hyde Park in 27:58.
The club also took over the Stevenage Parkrun, providing plenty of volunteers, marshals and pace setters.
They also had the winner in Kirk Ndugu while Charles Cook was 10th and Judy King managed a parkrun PB among the 33 Spartans.
North Herts Road Runners celebrated the 80th birthday of Monica Cullin with a trip to the Great Denham Parkrun in Bedford.
A spokeswoman said: "Monica is an integral part of our club, the committee and wider community, running or volunteering in every event that the club is involved with."
Shaun Allin was the first Squirrel home in a PB of 18:25 and there was another PB for new ladies’ captain Natalie Phillips with 21:58.

The Wolf Run 10k obstacle race took Myles Hammersley over fields and woodland, filled with 30 different obstacles, including river swimming, commando crawling and climbing.
He completed the course in 1:50.
One week earlier the Stevenage Striders had double reason to celebrate.
Their latest 0 to 5km Strider group finished their graduation parkrun while there were many at the London Marathon, including John Odong (3:42:14), India Paine (4:16:59), Danny Alden (5:25:42), Lauren Pegg (5:28:56), Laura Duffield (5:31:32) and Danielle Lewis (6:31:21).
