One of Stevenage's talented youngsters will get experience of senior football when he spends a year in the National League South.
Harrison Smith made his first-team debut in the closing stages of their final game of last season, at home to Cheltenham Town.
And the striker almost made an instant impact with a clever chip over the keeper, only to see his effort cleared off the line.
But the 19-year-old will now continue his development, and quest for goals, on the south coast.
Worthing, managed by former Boro U18 boss Chris Agutter, were denied a place in the National League last season after a 4-3 play-off final loss to Braintree Town.
But the Mackerel Men are one of the favourites to get the job this time around.
Agutter said, “We are delighted to welcome Harrison to the club, we also thank Stevenage Football Club for allowing us to bring H in on loan.
“Having worked with Harrison previously I know he will add more firepower to our attacking unit, which will go some way to filling the void left by some of our summer departures.
“Harrison is an all-action, big and powerful centre forward who will not only add goals but will also help bring others in to play."
Smith, who has been at Woodside Road during pre-season, added: "I’m excited to play for the club and experience some men’s first-team football.
“I’ve learned so much from Agi before. I know his coaching style and how he works and I really got on with him.
"I felt like I was playing very well when he was at Stevenage."
Smith will be available for their opening game of the season, an away trip to Weston-super-Mare tomorrow (Saturday).
And he will be in familiar territory one week later when Worthing go to St Albans City, his home town, on August 17.
