Baldock Town enjoyed the taste of victory as they lifted a number of trophies.
The Cairns Cup final saw Baldock claim a 70-65 win over Royston while there were successes in the North Herts Championships too.
Julie Mutter won the singles, Julie Undrell took home the unbadged singles and Wendy Budge and Mary Ann Haskins were on top in the pairs.
They couldn't make it four wins though, losing in the triples.
The Challenge Shield, a competition for bowlers who haven’t played for the county, saw a loss in the singles, a win in the pairs and a draw in the triples.
And in a one end shoot-out in the pairs, Baldock won the whole competition with the last wood of the match.
Elsewhere a County League match with Stevenage was won 35-34 but the ladies lost against the same club in their league match, going down by two shots.
Datchworth won one semi-final but lost another.
The success came against Shire Park Tewin in the Welwyn Hatfield Bowls League Jubilee Cup, winning 40-24.
The home rink of Barbara Williams, Jan Smith, Andy Short and Keith Smith lost only four ends in a 26-8 success and although Shire Park won their home match 16-14, it was Datchworth who advanced.
Datchworth's second semi-final of the week was in the East Herts Bowls League's Ranson Cup, where they were beaten 32-27 by Potters Bar.
Graham Akers, Rob Hazeu, Jim Smith and Derek Henley won away from home, coming from 14-9 down to win 15-14.
However, the home rink lost 18-12 to send Bar into the final.
Datchworth’s run of victories in the Stevenage Mixed League ended with a 59-41 loss at home to Riverain.
They won on just one of the three rinks, that an 18-15 success for Laie Williams, Ann Edwards, Janet Akers and Steve Chamberlain.
The women were at home to Royston in a North Herts Women's Bowling Association League match, but lost on both rinks and 47-27 overall.
Three mixed friendlies in the week brought three victories.
Townsend of St Albans were the first to be seen off, beaten 43-37 at Turkey Farm despite just one win and one draw from the four rinks played.
That belonged to Lucy and Ian Williams, plus skip Graham Akers, who sealed an 18-5 success.
The second home friendly ended in an 89-59 win over Ware, with four of the five rinks tasting victory.
The best of them was Janet Akers, Jim Whittle, Terry Metcalf and Les Parsley with a 22-8 win.
And they also won on the road at Harpenden, claiming three of the four played for a 67-52 victory.
The top rink was claimed by Maureen Blunt, Julian Hales and Rob Hazeu with a 22-13 win.
Howard Garden played North Herts in a home friendly and were in good form, winning on all three rinks and 66-39 overall.
Michelle Bell, David Weemys and Tony Wood were the most successful, winning their rink 22 - 11.
On Sunday the bowlers competed for the Greatorex Shield, an internal three-wood singles competition at the club.
Bell took the title, winning all of her games, with Wood the runner-up.
North Herts also had a game away at Melbourn and came away with a 50-49 success.
The top rink was a 25-8 win for Lynne Brown, Mike Jefferys and John Atkinson.
The match also saw three players aged more than 90.
Letchworth Garden City lost 46-41 in the SML to Whitethorn, with only the team of Jill Rogan, Peter Bailey, Christopher Ottaway and Tony Sinclair managing to win.
They recovered though to record a 67-27 success over Knebworth with all three triples winning, the best of them a 26-7 success for Bob Rogan and Haidee and Keith Castle.
In friendly with Letchworth Conservative Club, LGC lost 47-43. Christine Collis, Lynn Bailey and Sinclair were their one winning rink.
